Course pages 2022–23

Software and Security Engineering

I look forward to lecturing this course in person. However the lectures will not be radically different from the video lectures I recorded at the start of the pandemic and which are available on the 2021 course materials page. If you want to catch up, I suggest you look at those rather than at the recordings which are made automatically of the lectures as we give them.

That page also has links to a large number of further reading materials including links to relevant book chapters, news stories, research papers and videos giving insights into safety for cars, planes, medical devices as well as for a range of ways in which poorly-designed security mechanisms are defeated. There are also links to past exam papers for use in supervisions.

The slides for the main lectures are here while the slides for Richard Sharp's guest lecture are here.
