Postgraduate College Visit Days
When you join Cambridge University as a postgraduate student, you become a member of a college, which is separate from your academic department. Colleges offer support in lots of different ways and each has its own community of academics and students across disciplines. Cambridge colleges have their own open days in September.
Postgraduate Open Day
We offer students the opportunity to hear from some of our postgraduate education staff and learn about the application process for our MPhil and PhD courses. This takes place during Cambridge University's Virtual Postgraduate Open Days.
In 2026, these Open Days run from 2 to 13 November. These Open Days are a great opportunity to put your questions to admissions staff and academics, explore the Colleges virtually, and learn more about the courses, the application process, and available funding options.
Warm-up webinars
Before the virtual Open Days, there are also two Warm-up Webinars:
Choosing and applying for a Master's or PhD (7
September)
Learn about the postgraduate application process at Cambridge. This
session will include a short presentation followed by a live Q&A
where you can ask questions.
Postgraduate finance and funding (9 October)
Learn about the practicalities of applying for funding at Cambridge.
This webinar will be a presentation only. A full Q&A takes place
during the second week of the Postgraduate Open Days.
Please register in advance to attend the webinars and the Open Days.
