Deep learning: foundations and concepts
Following on from the success of the above title, this book offers a comprehensive introduction to the ideas behind deep learning. This online version uses an in browser reader which may not be convenient, but it does provide the full text.
Mathematics for machine learning
The full text of the book by Marc Deisenroth, Aldo Faisal and Cheng Soon Ong. This book is on the reading list for the M.Phil. Theory of deep learning course and the freely available PDF is a useful backup to the copy in the library.
Probabilistic machine learning: an introuction
The prepublication draft of the book by Kevin Murphy. This book is on the reading list for the M.Phil. Theory of deep learning course. The final published book is in the West Hub library.
Probabilistic machine learning: advanced topics
The sequel to the introductory volume above, this book is similarly, freely, available in a prepublication draft. A printed copy will also be available in the West Hub library.
Gaussian processes for machine learning
Another popular book for machine learning, from the M.Phil reading list. There are printed copies in the library, and this version is freely available for non-commerical use from the publisher's website.
Understanding deep learning
Another recent book on deep learning also proving popular in the West Hub library. There are presently only a few printed copies across the university libraries, but the full text is available in PDF format under a CC-BY-NC-ND license.
