Open Days and Events
Websites and prospectuses are great for gathering information on degree courses, but they are not a substitute for meeting the lecturers in person and exploring student life yourself. Each year we participate in a range of events that give you the opportunity to quiz those involved in running the computer science course.
Open Days 2013: July 4th and 5th
The University of Cambridge as a whole has two big open days every year, which incorporates the Computer Science annual open days. In 2013, the open days are on 4th and 5th of July 2013.
The Computer Laboratory will be putting on a series of subject talks and demonstrations of student projects and faculty research. Visitors also have the chance to speak one-to-one with Directors of Studies for Computer Science, as well as explore Cambridge.
Everyone is welcome to attend the Computer Lab events, including students of any level, parents, guardians, and teachers.
Open Day Programme
We will have the following programme repeated on each of the open days:
Welcome Talk and Course Presentation
Booking for the open days
You do not need to book for the Computer Science events. in fact, we don't accept bookings - the building is large enough to accommodate people turning up on the day. The event is held in the Computer Laboratory in the afternoon (programme above). Details of how to find us can be found on the Contact Us page.
However, other events associated with the larger University open day may require booking, and you should check whether this is the case if you are planning to attend any other events. More details are available here.
