Digital Technology Group
The Digital Technology Group (DTG) was a research group within the Computer Laboratory led by Professor Andy Hopper. It closed down in September 2023 with his retirement.
The DTG had a very wide area of expertise, its research scope ranging from system design, analysis and implementation at the physical level to development of novel devices and applications, an experience gained from a long history of applied research. As a distinctive feature, most projects within the group are also implemented in hardware and tested in real-world environments.
For more information, see the archived DTG website.
We also keep here the archive of the AT&T Laboratories Cambridge (1986–2002), where some research projects had started that were continued by the DTG.
