European Conference on Wireless Technology honours PhD student

Francisco Monteiro (Fitzwilliam College), a third year PhD student in the Digital Technology Group, and his supervisor Dr Ian Wassell received the €3000 best paper award during the 10th European Conference on Wireless Technology for a paper at the European Microwave Week 2007, jointly organised by the European Microwave Association and the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society.

Mr Monteiro is undertaking research on detection techniques for multiple-input multiple-output digital wireless systems.
