Presentation guidelines

Oral presentation

Each 90-minute oral symposium consists of four speakers. Therefore, presenters giving an oral presentation will have 18 minutes each plus time for questions and discussion. You can bring your presentation with you on a USB stick when using powerpoint or PDF format, and save your presentation to the desktop computer in the lecture theatre. Alternatively, you can bring your own laptop. Either way, please make sure you have tested if everything works before your symposium starts.

Panel presentation

The 90-minute panel session consists of six speakers. Please keep your presentation to an 8- 10 minute maximum to leave time for questions and discussion afterwards. First, all speakers will present their work, followed by a general discussion with the audience. You can bring your presentation with you on a USB stick when using powerpoint or PDF format, and save your presentation to the desktop computer in the lecture theatre. Alternatively, you can bring your own laptop. Either way, please make sure you have tested if everything works before your panel session starts.

Poster presentation

Poster presenters will present their work at either 5pm on Monday or Tuesday. During these poster sessions, there will be a reception involving drinks and snacks. Please make sure your poster is A1 Vertical , and that it includes your name, contact details and affiliation. You can put up your poster from 3pm onwards on the day of your presentation. We will provide you with the necessary equipment to attach the posters to the presentation boards.
