Printers
There are three printers in the Reprographics Room (GC18):
- Palm
General notes: A4 and A3 mono-printer with stapling facility. Ideal for printing in bulk.

- Gum
General notes: A colour poster printer for posters up to size A0.

Laminator
We have a large format laminator capable of laminating posters up to A0. The laminator takes some skill to use and works at a high temperature, and as such is not suitable for use by untrained lab members. If you wish to laminate a poster please email [Javascript required] and allow enough time for the poster to be laminated by one of the trained systems staff during usual office hours. It may take half an hour or so for the laminator to heat up to the required temperature, thereafter it is quite quick. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ATTEMPT TO USE THE LAMINATOR YOURSELF.
Shredder
Instructions for use are written on the front of the shredder.
Please read carefully and take care not to lean over the shredder in case ties or long hair become entangled.
This shredder is not a cross cutter and thus not a high-security model. Its output could be reconstructed by a really determined reader in a few minutes. Therefore, it must not be relied on for destroying highly sensitive information, such as future exam questions.
The shredder bag should be cleared each evening by the cleaner. If the bag is full, the shredder will cease to work. Contact Building services for assistance.
Print room webcam
The reprographics room has a real-time webcam installed, such that you can easily check availability of equipment from your desk.
Other facilities
Other facilties include:
- An A0 guillotine and an A1 guillotine
Please ensure you only cut a max. of 3 sheets at one time to protect the blade and ensure a smooth edge. - Small staplers - larger ones are in Reception
- Staple remover
- Recycle bin
