A First Course in Probability (9th edition) by Sheldon Ross:

• Chapter 8: Limit Theorems, sections 1-3

(Previous editions are also fine, but may have different chapter names/numbers.)

A modern introduction to probability and statistics by Dekking et al.:

• Chapter 17, sections 1-2
• Chapter 19
• Chapter 20

Exercises

From the exercise sheet (link is to last year's sheet - this year's isn't available yet):

• Lecture 8-9: all questions
• Lecture 10: spend 1 hour answering questions of your choice. Try to attempt a good mixture of questions - skip ahead if short of time.
• Lecture 11-12: spend 1 hour answering questions of your choice. Try to attempt a good mixture of questions.

We will also have a "Mastermind" session at the end of the supervision. Please prepare 3 questions unless you are the Mastermind.
