Welcome to the 3rd Oxbridge Women in Computer Science Conference

We are delighted to announce the third edition of the Oxbridge Women in Computer Science Conference, to be held on the 10th of March 2016, in Cambridge, UK. The Oxbridge Women in Computer Science Conference is an annual conference that aims to bring together junior and senior female computer scientists at the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford, and give a perfect opportunity for young researchers to present their research and get valuable feedback in a very open, friendly and informal environment.

The conference will include talks by key speakers from academia and industry who will share their experiences with the participants. This year's conference has been made possible through the generous sponsorship of Google.

All students, faculty and staff members of the department are welcome to attend the conference. There is no registration fee for the conference and snacks and lunch will be provided free of charge. The conference dinner will take place at the Corpus Christi college and it will be provided free of charge. There is a limited number of places for the conference dinner and the attendees will be notified after registration. The deadline for registration is 29th of February 2016. Coach transportation will be provided free of charge for all participants travelling from Oxford. The coach will leave from Keble Road, Oxford at 7 a.m. (everyone is to arrive at 6.45 a.m) taking the participants to the William Gates Building, Cambridge, and is expected to leave from Corpus Christi college, Cambridge, at 10 p.m. for the journey back.

Current female Undergraduate, MPhil/MSc, PhD/DPhil students, RAs and PostDocs are encouraged to submit short abstracts (up to 1 page) for presentations or posters or to give a lightning talk on their topic of research. For more details see the Call for Papers, Posters and Lightning Talks page. The deadline for submission is 15th of February 2016. Presentations will be 15 minutes long including questions, while posters can be up to size A1.

The Selection Committee will review all abstracts for presentations and posters. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by the 29th of February 2016.
