Malcolm Scott
I am a PhD student in the Systems Research Group at the University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory supervised by Professor Jon Crowcroft and funded by the Doctoral Training Centre in Photonic Systems Development.
My research is on the design of protocols for energy-efficient networks, in collaboration with the Intelligent Energy-Aware Networks EPSRC project. Right now I am specifically working on MOOSE, a system to improve the scalability of Ethernet which I originally created whilst working as a research assistant working on the Intelligent Airport project (TINA).
My ramblings
I occasionally write articles for syslog, the blog of the SRG.
