- Written test, comprising 1/3 of the total mark.

Bring a pen. Closed book, no electronics other than an approved calculator (calculator not essential). Assignment 4 – research/implementation project with written report (≤4000 words, ≤12 pages), comprising 1/3 of the total mark.
Start: Monday 16 November 2026, 12:00 – Report due: Friday 4 December 2026, 12:00
While drafts of assignments may appear here earlier, they may still change and may not yet have been covered by lectures before the indicated start date.
Feedback: All three assignments are designed such that it should be mostly obvious from the results whether you have solved the problem correctly, i.e. the main feedback for your submission will come from your own program's output. In cases where I can spot suggestions for improvement (bug fixes, better approaches, programming style, efficiency improvements, presentational suggestions), I will aim to add such comments via Moodle within 21 days.
