I have supervised students for the following courses:
- Algorithms I (Part IA)
- Floating Point Computation (Part IA)
- Operating Systems (Part IA)
- Algorithms II (Part IB)
- Comparative Architectures (Part II)
- Optimising Compilers (Part II)
Submit supervision work either by handing it in at Student Administration at the Computer Laboratory, or by emailing it to me (Daniel.Bates at cl.cam.ac.uk). Please ensure that all work handed in gets to me by 4pm on the day before your supervision. If your supervision is on a Monday and your work is hand-written, this means getting it to Student Administration by 4pm on Friday.
If you are having any trouble with the work set, or don't understand something in the course notes, feel free to get in touch. If there is anything in particular you would like to go through in a supervision, please try to give me as much notice as possible, so I have time to prepare a useful explanation or example.
If you know in advance that you will not be able to hand the work in on time, please let me know. Similarly, please let me know at least 24 hours in advance if you will not be able to attend a supervision, so we can contact the other participant(s) and attempt to reschedule.
