Basic Configuration

We made assumptions on the minimal configuration that must be working before we can use software diagnostics, as shown in Table 1.

Nothing can be done until these work to this extent (the arm is unable to read instructions from ROM).

In addition the following assumptions are made for processor unit tests:

• The board is configured with exactly 4M of dram
• The clocks are running at 25 and 8.33 MHz so that we can assume a serial line speed without reading a link on the board.
