I am a PhD student in the Security Group of the Department of Computer Science, supervised by Dr. Markus Kuhn. My research focuses on side-channel characteristics and attacks on various cryptographic algorithms. I am particularly interested in profiling template attacks on recently standardized post-quantum cryptographic (PQC) algorithms.
Research Interests
My research interests include:
- Cryptographic algorithms / post-quantum cryptography
- Software and hardware implementations of cryptographic systems
- Side-channel analysis: template attacks and leakage assessment methodologies (TVLA, NICV, MI/PI)
- Other security-related topics
Publications
- Eric Chun-Yu Peng, Markus G. Kuhn: Adaptive Template Attacks on the Kyber Binomial Sampler. TCHES 2025, Vol. 2025, No. 3.
Teaching
- Supervision: Cryptography (Lent Term 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022)
