Department of Computer Science and Technology

Eric Peng

I am a PhD student in the Security Group of the Department of Computer Science, supervised by Dr. Markus Kuhn. My research focuses on side-channel characteristics and attacks on various cryptographic algorithms. I am particularly interested in profiling template attacks on recently standardized post-quantum cryptographic (PQC) algorithms.

Research Interests

My research interests include:

  • Cryptographic algorithms / post-quantum cryptography
  • Software and hardware implementations of cryptographic systems
  • Side-channel analysis: template attacks and leakage assessment methodologies (TVLA, NICV, MI/PI)
  • Other security-related topics
