Overview and Interests
James Weatherall read a BA in Computer Science at the University of Cambridge. After graduating in 1997, he remained in Cambridge to spend a pre-doctoral year at what was then the Olivetti & Oracle Research Lab, Cambridge, where he worked on VNC. He joined the LCE as a PhD student in October 1998, where he remains as a Research Associate. His PhD. project was a ubiquitous control architecture for low power and embedded systems. The project builds on AT&T Labs' wireless Prototype Embedded Network (PEN).
