Proposal
A collaboration between ARM (in
Cambridge) and Digital (USA) has
produced a high performance, low power processor, the StrongARM
(& documentation).
I would like a reversible discrete event simulation of the StrongARM
in written in Java as a teaching tool.
Previous work
Stephen Thornhill made a good job of this project in 1997/98. Robin
Hughes wrote an animated ARM 7 in Modula-3 - see "An Animated ARM",
1995.
