Vacation Pack

Please read through this slide pack and contact David Greaves if you think you will have trouble with any content.

Any of the material will be covered as required at the start of Term in the first session. So please be ready to say which slides you would like formally lectured.

There is considerable flexiblity over how much time we spend doing group readings and presentations and how much time I stand at the front talking at you.

I would be very grateful if you could drop me a sentence or two explaining your experience with this sort of material and letting me know what level of detail you would like me to go in to on this first pack. (I am expecting a complete mix of experience levels.)

In this slide pack:

• we introduce basic RTL coding in Verilog RTL,
• we do the same for SystemC,
• we also introduce some ideas of 'interfaces' with flow control,
• we cover Structural Hazards.
