THREE LITTLE MATHS LAB BOYS

THREE LITTLE MATHS LAB BOYS by K.E.M.

with apologies to a hell of a lot of people)

(Careful inspection and experiment will reveal how the words may
be forced to fit the tune)

Three little Maths Lab boys are we,
Each of us clever as can be,
We came, of course, from T.R.E.,
	Three little Maths Lab boys.
We grope our way through fog and murk,
Our hours of duty we don't shirk,
And yet our programs never work -
	Three little Maths Lab boys.
We're pundits of computational science,
At Manchester we shout defiance,
'Cos we are financed by Joseph Lyons. [1]
	Three little Maths Lab boys.
	Three little Maths Lab boys.

Three little Maths Lab boys are we,
Each of us issued with a key,
in case we want to work till three.
	Three little Maths Lab boys.
Just now we're onto something new,
To find if we can really do,
Damn all squared in scale of two.
	Three little Maths Lab boys.
We're going to form a special section
To work under M.I.5 direction
Predicting the results of the next election.
	Three little Maths Lab boys.
	Three little Maths Lab boys.

Three little Maths Lab boys are we,
All trying now to get a free ..
.. month's holiday at M.I.T.,
	Three little Maths Lab boys.
So if you do not treat us well
The plans of Edsac Two we'll sell
To Uttley or the N.P.L. [2]
	Three little Maths Lab boys.
And now, dear friends, you're going to lose us,
We must leave now, so please excuse us,
(At this point a bod enters carrying a tray of three glasses
of beer. They hurriedly sing the next tine, and during the
accompaniment of the first "Three little Maths Lab boys"
they rush up-stage, grab a glass each, take a drink, in time
to sing the last line, with glasses held high, fffff)
We're all of us fully authorised boozers,
THREE LITTLE MATHS LAB BOYS,
THREE LITTLE MATHS LAB BOYS.

[1] line crossed out. Pencil addition: "We get our tea from Joseph Lyons."

[2] line crossed out. Pencil addition: "To Hollerith or N.P.L."
