NetFPGA

Programmable Hardware for high-speed network prototypes

Introduction

The NetFPGA platform provides a flexible teaching and research tool permitting instrumentation and prototyping of real router functionality at real network speeds.

Based around a board designed by colleagues in the Stanford University High Performance Networking Group, the NetFPGA board permits undergraduate and graduate students, researchers and academics to do networking prototype and development at line speed. The NetFPGA board is being used as part of a Build an Internet Router module in the MPhil in Advanced Computer Science.
