This document describes the functionality of a test suite designed for hardware testing of the Fairisle Port Controller version 3. The test suite consists of two parts. Firstly there is a ROM-based version for basic hardware and manufacturing testing. The second part is a more general purpose and flexible version for general hardware testing and debugging. This document includes a description of this test environment, the set of tests and error modes. It also provides a brief note on the implementation of the test suite.
