Computer Laboratory

Dr Javad Zarrin

I am a research associate at Computer Laboratory, University of Cambridge. Before joining the Lab, I was a postdoctoral research associate at Department of Computer Science, at City, University of London. Before that, I worked in ATNoG research group at Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT-Aveiro) in Portugal for several years. I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Porto (MAPi), Portugal, under supervision of Professor Rui L. Aguilar in January 2017. I did my MSc in Telecommunications and Network Engineering at Department of Computer and Communication Systems Engineering, University Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 2009. I also obtained my BSc degree in Physics. My research interests are in the broad area of distributed systems. My current research is focused on optimal solutions for resource management in very large scale Data Centers.
