I am a computer science PhD student at the University of Cambridge, as a member of the marvellous Graphics and Interaction Group ("Rainbow"). I am jointly supervised by Alan Blackwell, Mateja Jamnik, and Martin Spott.
My primary research interest is the usability of data analytics. My aim is to improve the usability and accessibility of tools for sophisticated analytics, which involves data management, statistics, and machine learning. I do this by strategically combining theories of interaction and visual representation, with artificial intelligence and machine learning, to produce novel analytics systems which are easier to use.
I am also interested in live coding, critical theory, computer music, psychology of programming, applied machine learning, transport research, and bibliometrics.
