Abstract

The mobile phone has evolved from a simple communication device to a mobile computing device. This new technology unlocks many new possibilities for learners, teachers and assessors. In this talk I'll explore some of the capabilities of the new generation of Internet-connected smartphones with reference to learning applications we have built, discuss the implications and show some new innovations which will be hitting commodity handsets in the near future.
