Diagrams
Here is an incomplete list of diagrams I think are clever or have found useful. If you are interested in diagrams and displaying information I highly recommend "The Visual Display of Quantitative Information" by Edward Tufte. There are also the slides from a talk I gave to our research group called "How to draw a diagram".

Anscombe's Quartet [web]This is the classic example for why graphs and diagrams can be vital to the interpretation of data. Anscombe's quartet consists of four very different data sets with the same mean and variance (among other statistical measures). |
