About Me

I am a computer scientist specializing in computer graphics, vision, and machine learning/ artificial intelligence. My goal is to have a form of digital visual reality and visual data representations that are easy to understand, generate, and experience.

I seek innovative ideas with scientific impact and commercial potential, working with various partners from academia and industry.

Short Bio

I am an Associate Professor at the University of Cambridge and a Senior Researcher at Google. My research interests are in computer graphics, vision, and machine learning/ artificial intelligence. I worked as a Research Scientist at Disney Research for three years and was a Senior Research Associate at ETH Zürich previously. I obtained my master's and PhD degrees in computer science from ETH Zürich (jointly funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation) and completed a double major degree in computer engineering and electronics engineering at Koc University (summa cum laude, valedictorian). I have been honored with several awards including the Eurographics Best PhD Thesis Award, Fulbright Science and Technology Award, and the UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship.
