R02 ACS MPhil - Network Architectures

First Essay (due Nov 1)

	The world of networking seems to have divided into two very different
environments, at least at first glance - the world of smart mobile devices
(tablets, smart phones, ebook readers, smart TVs etc), and the world of data
centers (cloud computing, CDN, etc).

In this new world, do we think that the  work in the past few years on
Internet Architecture has to some extent or other missed the point?

	Take one of
	I3, IPNL, ILNP and ROFL (see papers linked from course web page)
	Compare with baseline (IPv4/v6)
	Evolution v. Revolution (see paper from CACM on course web page)
	What do they make easier
		E.g. multihome, multicast, mobile, multipath
	What do they help solve
		E.g. solve security (what threats), performance
	Where do they fall down

Submissions need be no more than 2-4 pages of notes
