Open signalling : the constraints of the installed base and opportunities

This presentation shall give some views as to the performance,
handling and support benefits to be expected from open signalling (and
associated tools).  It will also list the heavy constraints its
adoption may face in the installed bases, fixed as mobile. Some
migration routes will be suggested, as well as an approach to
standardization suitable for its progressive and select introduction.
The emphasis in this talk will not be on the technical research.
