Supplement to Research Proposal - Cambridge Contribution


This is the technical research work we can resource within the UK Partners
within the £3M budget. Essentially, all the line items remain intact, but
are reduced in two ways:

Most RA posts are replaced by PhDs

The remaining RA posts are for 2 years rather than 3, with a view to using
the KIC and director at Adastral to attract further funding within year 2.


Two other important factors are

P2P work led by Ross Anderson and Frans Kaashoek is funded from the
pervasive computing KIC

The management and road mapping RAs will necessarily be more junior


Experienec with a previous (5 site, £1.5M pounds) project by this PI is
that this can be managed well, especially given the experience of all the
PIs within the project, but also since we are aiming to roll in effort from
more industrial partners within year 1 and 2.
