Subject: a hol newsgroup?


Given the increasing size of the hol community, and the corresponding
large quantity of mail, would now perhaps be the time to create a
hol internet newsgroup?  Much of the mail I receive is interesting
and useful, but much isn't.  A newsgroup would give all of us the chance
to browse at our own convenience rather than coming back from a trip
(or even overnight) to face 30 hol messages interspersed with our
other e-mail.  This thought just occurred to me when I logged in now
and saw 13 hol messages and only one other message.  At that kind of ratio,
and given the number of hol users here at Davis, we could save a lot of
storage by having a newsgroup.
