This seems reasonable. However the copies in the FTP area are also the
primary copies for use by our research group. Accordingly, I have left
the directories as they were, but added a compressed tarfile of each one.
While a little wasteful of space, I hope this is a fair compromise.

See the subdirectory "00-Tarfiles". This arrangement may change if people
complain.
