People have asked for soemone in Europe to come out in favour
of alternating the HOL workshop between North America and
Europe.
OK - I think it would be a good thing for the conference to
alternate between North America and Europe.

But then,... I'm not really a European am I.
I'm Australian and I am just here for 3 years.
Still perhaps that counts for something as Australia is probably
about equidistant (travel cost wise) between North America and Europe.

Also, I suspect, preferential/sigle-transferable voting may
still be a good idea for situations where more than 2 proposals
eminate from the one continent; but that is yet to happen and
it may never happen.

Final I would like to draw attention to this line in Jeff's last
mailing:
> us "crafty North Americans" are going to be "sore losers" should

The "crafty North Americans" is a quote out of context from one
of my eariler mailings. I feel its appearance here without its
original context fails to convey the fact that it was not meant
to be taken seriously.
Further, since this was a direct quote from me and the phrase
"sore losers" appears on the same line in the same quoation marks,
some readers may make the inference that "sore losers" was also
a quote from me. It was not, I never suggested anything like it.
I don't think Jeff intended for anyone to make that inference -
I just want to ensure that nobody does.

Jim
