The ICCD covers all aspects of the design and implementation of VLSI
computer and processor systems. The multi-disciplinary na- ture of the
conference is intended to emphasize the interactions among architecture,
computer-aided design, design & test and computer-based systems design.
Original papers are especially solicited in the following areas:

Architecture and Algorithms Computer Architecture: Concurrent Computers,
Digital, Signal and Image Processors, Data Base Machines, Graphics
Processors, Architectural Support for Operat- ing Systems and Languages,
Computer Design: Cache and Memory System Design, Processor Design, Computer
Arithmetic, Computer Networks, Algorithms: Design and Analysis of
Algorithms, Paral- lel Algorithms, Numerical Methods.

Computer-Aided Design High-Level timing issues, FPGA design and support,
Design of Multi-Chip Modules, Asynchronous Design, For- mal Verification,
High-Level Synthesis, Silicon Compilation, Au- tomatic Layout: Placement
and Routing, Layout Verification, Tim- ing Analysis, Logic and Circuit
Simulation, Multiprocessor and Parallel Processor, Implementation of CAD

Computer Based Systems Design System Aspects, Hardware/Software Codesign,
Software Aspects, Embedded Systems, Innovative Appli- cations Automotive,
Medical, Machine Control, Robotics, Telecom- munications or other
electronic or computer based systems. NOTE:THIS IS NEW FOR '92.

Papers are also solicited which describe innovative features of new
products, and which describe the overall integration of these five areas
into the computer design process. Instructions to Authors: Prospective
authors are invited to sub- mit a 2000 word draft version of their paper
that should contain all of their key ideas and data. To be considered for
review, pa- pers must include the following information: (a) clear descrip-
tion of the contribution and why it is important, (b) for origi- nal
research submissions state what is novel about the contribu- tion, (c) for
review and tutorial submissions state the contribu- tion to the
multi-disciplinary mission of the conference. Authors should indicate the
appropriate area for their submission: Archi- tecture & Algorithms,
Computer-Aided Design, Design & Test, or Computer Based Systems Design.
Submit six (6) copies of papers, along with the authors names, addresses,
and telephone numbers to either Technical Program Chair (R. Camposano or A.
Domic) BY NO LATER THAN FEBRUARY 1, 1992. Note the change in policy this
year: ICCD will be review- ing draft versions of complete papers, not brief
abstracts as was done in the past. You should receive an acknowledgement
letter by February 15, 1992. Awards will be presented to the best
conference papers in each technical area. Proposals for specially organized
sessions are solicited. They should be received BEFORE the regular papers,
by January 2, 1992. Accept/reject letters will be sent by March 31, 1992
Final camera ready paper due June 15, 1992.
