Subject: Semantics of HOL

In response to Josh Guttman's question: the two semantics are not
mutually exclusive. Henkin describes two semantics for Church's system:
"standard models" and "general models". HOL, being approximately
equivalent to Church's system, also admits both semantics, I would think.
Andrew Pitts has a paper on the semantics of HOL.
