To be considered for invitation, you must submit a draft position paper through the submission website. Short and incisive submissions, not exceeding 5 pages in the Springer LNCS format, are more likely to attract an invitation than long-winded ones. You will have the opportunity to extend and revise your paper, both before the pre-proceedings are issued and after the workshop. The final paper will be allowed (but not required) to be quite a bit longer, up to about 15 LNCS pages plus appendices.
Invitations or rejections (but not full reviews or grades, which our selection process does not produce) will be sent back to the authors within a month of the submission deadline (see Important dates). Invited authors will have a chance to revise their position paper before the presentation, to be included in the pre-proceedings distributed to participants at the event. After the workshop, presenters will produce an edited transcript of the discussion of their presentation, as well as a revised paper incorporating any improvements and new insights, both of which will be included in the post-proceedings to be published in Springer LNCS.
At the workshop, you will be expected to spend ten minutes introducing the idea of your paper. This will be followed by a longer discussion. The proceedings of all previous workshops in this series (except for the first three that had no written proceedings) have been published by Springer as Lecture Notes in Computer Science. If you have not previously attended the Security Protocols Workshop, you may find it helpful to refer to these to get an idea of the flavour.
