If you are considering a technical career at Microsoft, the Microsoft Student Partner (MSP) programme is for you. Get a head start over the competition and join the growing number of student ambassadors who partner with Microsoft to run hacks, tech talks and other technology focused events on campus. In return they will support you with a range of development opportunities and industry experience, including access to professional courses for free, opportunities for international travel and the opportunity to publish a blog on the developer page. The programme will start in October 2017 and they particularly would like to increase their female student partners. 2017 Annual Race Equality Lecture: The Realities of Racism

Thursday 26 October 2017, 17:30-18:30. The lecture will look at factors that have contributed to racism and discrimination historically, providing an opportunity to reflect on what could be changed today. The speakers will be Professor Francisco Bethencourt, King's College London who will take a historical perspective on ethnic prejudice and discrimination across centuries and Professor Kalwant Bhopal, Birmingham University who will examine the experiences of Black and Minority Ethnic academics and students in the higher eduction sector.
