Eric Yu-en Lu

I am a research associate working on US-UK International Technology Alliance and EU FP7 SocialNETs project.

Also, I am a proud member and now a junior research fellow of Wolfson College, the most cosmopolitan college in Cambridge.

My research interests are mathematical analysis and applications of algorithmic/system design for complex systems. Skill-wise, I do probability analysis, statistical learning theory, algorithmic design, and then go build and run the stuff using a mixture of declarative and imperative languages on massive infrastructure.

I like tackling real problems and data, hence I often tread upon topics to which CS can contribute. Amid the stimulating collegiate environment in Cambridge, I am fortunate enough to have excellent collaborators who taught me a lot about various fields as far as Computer Networks, Computational Biology, and Evolutionary Anthropology.

If you are one of my supervision students, my office hours are mostly during 2-5pm. Check here for assignments, notes, and general supervision information.
