Education
I received a MSc degree in Computer Science and Computer Engineering in January 2004 and a PhD in Computer Science in October 2008, both from the University of Catania. I defended a PhD thesis on "Complex networks and community structures: analysis and applications to efficient peer-to-peer overlays". You can donwload the PDF here.
Previous Positions
From 2010 to 2011 I was a research assistant in the Theoretical Physics group at the Physics Department, University of Catania.
From 2008 to 2010 I held a joint research assistant position at the Mathematics Department (University of Catania) and at the Laboratory for Complex Systems (Scuola Superiore di Catania), working on the research programme "Advanced numerical methods for complex networks", under the supervision of Prof. Giovanni Russo and of Prof. Vito Latora.
