Me and my affiliations

Education

I am a fourth (and hopefully final) year PhD student working with Prof. Jon Crowcroft in the networks and operating systems (netos) group at the Computer Laboratory, University of Cambridge. I spent 2007-08 at the Advanced Network Architecture Lab at MIT CSAIL, with Karen Sollins.

I have a Bachelor's degree from RVCE, Bangalore, India, and a Master's degree from University of Texas, Austin, where my thesis developed a theoretical framework for window-based congestion control, advised by Prof. Simon S. Lam.

Industry and Industrial Research

Before coming to Cambridge, I spent five years at IBM in the US, first in the Software Group, and then at IBM Research. Much before, I spent a year at Cisco Systems, Bangalore, developing ATM device drivers. My final year undergraduate project was carried out at National Aerospace Labs, India, and even won a best undergraduate project award and the best student paper award at the 34th Annual Convention of the Computer Society of India :)
