The Pathétique symphony

(Symphony No. 6 in B minor, Op. 74)

The symphony has four movements:
  1. Adagio - Allegro
  2. Allegro con grazia
  3. Allegro molto vivace
  4. Finale: adagio lamentoso

I recently heard a performance of this symphony live. The concert was given by the Cambridge Philharmonic orchestra on 18 February 1999. The Pathétique was the third piece in a programme that started with Shostakovich's Festive Overture and was followed by Dvorák's Water-goblin piece.
