PhD student sought

We seek a PhD student to work with Mike Gordon and Magnus Myreen on
the EPSRC project entitled "Trustworthy programming for multiple
instruction sets". The successful applicant will have knowledge of
operating system principles and their implementation and be able to
demonstrate enthusiasm and ability to learn how to use interactive
theorem provers such as HOL4.

Funds are only available to support a student from the European
Union. Applicants from outside the EU may be considered, but
additional funding would be needed.

The studentship is available from 1 October 2008 and the successful
applicant can start in October 2009 or before.
