Application adapts its flow-state:
- e.g. rate/loss adaptive flows
- change of flow construction - flow-state
Must rely on correct user preferences:
- user selects correct application mode and/or flow-state
Need QoS summary to provide:
- per-flow application-friendly/user-friendly information
- measure compatibility between flow-states and network QoS
