IP Switching, Hybrid IP/ATM, or Pure IP?
Pure IP (e.g. IP on SONET/SDH) is attractive, and has no real problems meeting tomorrows requirements
IP switching (aka CSRs) may be needed for low latency on low to medium speed (<=25Mbps)
Hybrid (ATM core + IP edge) is unnecessary complexity
