Problems with Hierarchical Addresses for Routing
If levels wrong, have to renumber (c.f. Internet and Plain Old Telephone Systems)
Can lead to pathologically long routes (hierarchy hides backdoor routes).
Simply having levels of hierarchy uses address space
Longest match lookup in routing table can be costly compared with fixed length.
