Sometimes, you may want to make notes about some information you find in the WWW. Many clients let you annotate a Web page (some even let you use audio or even video, thought most are text based). The client tool then simply keeps a note of the URL, and when you visit it again, reminds you that you have an annotation by displaying the fact (and a hot pointer in the display area), so you can retrieve it. Fear not! You are not altering someone else's data, though. Just keeping a personal note.
