Imagemap Configuration

There are a number of pieces of software available to help you configure active maps. We'll look first at writing your own script to deal with active maps using AppleScript with MacHTTP, then we'll look at some of the software designed to make this easier - imagemap with NCSA HTTPD and htimage with CERN HTTPD. There is now software available for both Macs and PCs that is similar to NCSAs imagemap program (they use the same image configuration files) so the DIY approach is not the only way to implement active maps on the Mac.
