12 steps to recovery (of our private lives)

We admitted we were powerless over social media - that our online lives had become unmanageable.

We came to believe that a Cloud greater than ourselves could not restore us to sanity.

Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of ToR as we understood Him.

Made a searching and fearless backup of ourselves.

Admitted on Facebook, to ourselves and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.

Were entirely ready to remove Linkedin and all these other defects of online behaviour.

Humbly asked Google to forget our shortcomings.

Made a list of all embarassing posts we had made, and became willing to delete them all.

Made direct payments to such sites wherever possible, except when to do so would stil advertise or recommend to us or others.

Continued to make personal archives, and when we held others data, promptly delete it.

Sought through grep and https to improve our connection contact by Signal as we understood it, searching only with duckduckgo for knowledge for us and the power to carry that out.

Having had a private awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to Gmail and Twitter in and to practice these principles in all our affairs.
