Fresnel
With FRESNEL we aim to build a large scale federated sensor network framework with multiple applications sharing the same resources. We want to guarantee a reliable intra‐application communication as well as a scalable and distributed management infrastructure. Orthogonally, privacy and application security should also be maintained. Our aim is to allow FRESNEL to run in multiple platforms.CATE
CATE is a framework that allows every vehicle to act as a sensor. Vehicles collect and share traffic information. Afterwards our system correlates the collected information to automatically reroute the vehicle (e.g. to avoid a traffic jam). Furthermore, we build an evaluation platform that combines mobility and a network simulator (dynamic mobility based on the sensed information).CarView
CarView is a middleware framework that allows a novel interaction between network layer with information available in a vehicle (navigation system, sensors, etc). This framework allows the design of location aware network protocols (e.g., network protocols and applications that may use the map database, navigation information, GPS, etc).ITA
“International Technology Alliance in Network and Information Science” The alliance will perform research in the four areas of (i) network theory (ii) security across system of systems (iii) sensor information processing and delivery and (iv) distributed coalition planning and decision making. In the scope of this project we were involved in evaluating human mobility and network robustness under errors or attacks.CREAM
CoordinaEon and Reliability Mechanisms for This project is about designing novel mechanisms for the communication among networked mobile devices. These mechanisms will have to combine social, spatial and temporal concerns in order to be able to cope with the dynamicity and the resource limitations of mobile systems.OMPi
OMPi is an OpenMP complier for C, conforming to version (2.0) of the standard. The programmer can write C code as if it would run in a single processor machine and OMPi automatically produces the appropriate code required to run in a multi-thread environment.PLEIADES
This project involved the creation of an educational package for Greek secondary school students in order to teach them algorithms and programming without focusing on a specific programming language. This package consists of software (flowcharts, algorithms, a suitable environment to develop and learn about programming) and supplementary material (teacher and student books).
