Security Group

Ilias Marinos

I am a PhD student in the Security Group at the Computer Laboratory, under the supervision of Dr. Robert Watson and funded by the DARPA CRASH program. My second supervisor is Dr. Steven Hand.

Before joining Cambridge, I have obtained an MSc in Networked Computer Systems at University College London. My alma mater is Computer Engineering & Informatics Dep. at University of Patras, Greece.

Research

My research interests include Operating Systems security, application compartmentalisation, capability systems, compilers/runtimes and language based security. Currently, I am working on the CTSRD project.

Moreover, I am also quite interested in networking. My MSc dissertation was on designing and implementing a high performance userspace network stack.
