Food and drink

In Montpellier there are a wealth of restaurants, with every cuisine possible. Close to the centre is a spectacular fish restaurant and an excellent restaurant producing regional fare, both reasonably priced. Unusually in the next village is a Lebanese restaurant. Due to it being a major wine producing area many vineyards are open for tastings. For those who prefer water the famous Perrier source is nearby. In the Bassin de Thau, the bay just south of Montpellier, are oysters which have been farmed for hundreds of years.
